Jeffreys Camera is made for people with limited upper body mobility, enabling them to take pictures using an external switch.
Give your client, son, or daughter a chance to become a photographer using this app! Jeffreys Camera only requires one external button, making it easy to make pictures. Use it for therapy, in school, and to independently capture the moments of family occasions and trips. Jeffreys Camera is compatible with any external switch that uses the Switch Control accessibility feature of iOS.
The idea for Jeffreys Camera came up when a father contacted developer to design an app for his son Jeffrey. Jeffrey has multiple disabilities: he is bound to a wheelchair and cannot control a digital device in the usual way. One of Jeffreys therapists mentioned to his father that it would be nice for him to be able to make pictures. His father bought Jeffrey an iPad, mounted an external switch to his wheelchair, and added an iPad arm. Sadly, existing camera apps turned out to be too difficult to control for Jeffrey. That is why this app is created and named after him. Now Jeffrey is able to make pictures! By making Jeffreys Camera accessible to a wider audience, the developer hopes that more people like Jeffrey will be helped and experience more joy in life.
